What's New at MCT

MCT's Conservation Program, Manager Tamara Greenstone-Alefaio, is currently in Antigua and Barbuda attending the Adaptation Fund (AF) Climate Finance Readiness Seminar for accredited National Implementing Entities (NIE) on behalf of MCT

8/7/2019

Comments

The seminar is an annual event that is meant to facilitate experience sharing and learning as well as provide information that is useful to NIEs in performing their implementing entity role. Notable topics that were discussed this year include gender, innovation in climate change adaptation, and an introduction of the Adaptation Fund’s Technical Evaluation Reference Group (TERG).
MCT is currently implementing the "Practical Solutions for Reducing Community Vulnerability to Climate Change in the Federated States of Micronesia" project funded by the Adaptation Fund to support protected areas and coastal communities in the FSM.
Photo: Members of the AF Secretariat and representatives from NIEs across the world are gifted Pohnpeian marmars during the seminar. Countries in the photo include (but are not limited to): Uganda, Armenia, Costa Rica, Antigua and Barbuda, Peru, Romania, Belgium, Uganda, Senegal, Cook Islands, India, Finland, the US and Canada.
